Water first passes through a pre-filter to remove sediment, chlorine, and other larger particles that could damage the reverse osmosis membrane.
The pre-filtered water is then forced through a semi-permeable membrane at high pressure. This membrane has tiny pores that allow water molecules to pass through while blocking larger contaminants such as dissolved solids, minerals, and microorganisms.
After passing through the membrane, the purified water undergoes post-filtration to remove any remaining impurities and improve taste.
The purified water is stored in a holding tank until needed. When you turn on the tap, the clean water is dispensed for drinking or cooking, while any remaining impurities are flushed down the drain.
Reverse osmosis systems remove a wide range of contaminants, including dissolved solids, chemicals, heavy metals, bacteria, and viruses, ensuring that the water you drink is clean and safe.
Reverse osmosis systems produce better-tasting and better-smelling water, improving its quality for drinking and cooking.
Installing a reverse osmosis system at home eliminates the need to purchase single-use bottled water, saving you money and reducing your carbon footprint.
Once installed, reverse osmosis systems require minimal maintenance. That means no more refilling pitchers or replacing filter cartridges like you do with other filtration systems.
